What is Fascial Stretch Therapy?

Fascial Stretch Therapy or sometimes referred to as Myofascial Release is the slow release of fascia (a network of connective tissue that covers muscles, groups of muscles, blood vessels, nerves, etc).  When your fascia becomes "stuck" it causes issues such as stiffness, muscle aches, fatigue, nerve pain, muscle strain, headaches, immobility, decreased flexibility and range of motion.   Stuck fascia if not addressed develops into scar tissue which may lead to issues like arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, and facet joint disfunction.  When you receive Fascial Stretch Therapy, your therapist will use specific fascial techniques to help relax, release & stretch out your muscle tissue and "unstick" your fascia which helps to breakdown scar tissue or prevents scar tissue from developing. Your therapist will also help to stabilize your body as she assists you to gently stretch your body which also helps to relax your tissue and allows your body to lengthen, move more freely, and rehydrate your tissue.

Fascial StretchTherapy is extremely popular with athletes, but effective for anyone wanting to improve endurance, flexibility, range of motion, recover from injury or strain, reduce tension and increase your energy level.   Fascial Stretch or Release can be targeted for specific issues.  It provides a powerful therapy that is extremely effective for hip related issues, knee tracking or strain, tendonitis, carpal tunnel,  and frozen shoulder.  When combined with General Swedish Massage techniques it also provides deep relaxation and stress release.

Whether you are an athlete or just like to run, cycle, swim, play golf, want to improve your endurance, performance, flexibility, mobility, or perform everyday tasks without aches & pains, or you simply want to destress & relax to help you get a good nights sleep.
